The warmth of the cold

The cool nip in the air has definitely turned chilly. It’s cold and gloomy. Most days it’s just not worth getting out of bed. So I don’t.

But, the chilly weather has its pros too. C seems to have thawed a bit. Nowadays she tucks her feet beneath me too keep her toes warm. I, of course, am happy to oblige. Even the occasional nip and nudge doesn’t seem to bother her – these winter nights are definitely getting cosy.

Some days when the sun deigns to shine, it’s blissful to feel the sun rays on my back. Hot food, the warmth of the blanket, the barbequed snacks…aah!

What can I say? Life’s good.
